A contemporary dual occupancy development informed by the modernist architectural legacy of Beaumaris.

The project takes cues from the suburb’s significant post war residential character, interpreting the principles of the Beaumaris modern period through a contemporary lens. Considered proportions, functional planning and a strong relationship between architecture and interior underpin the design.

A restrained palette of dark timber, natural stone and warm bronze establishes a sense of depth and permanence throughout. Integrated joinery is treated as part of the architecture, while curved forms and softened edges provide contrast to the more robust material palette.

Material continuity connects the kitchen, living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms, with recurring timber, stone and metal detailing creating a cohesive language throughout.

The result is a pair of contemporary homes that reference the architectural identity of Beaumaris while remaining restrained, warm and designed for longevity.
